Call for volunteers at the Aneurysm and AVM Walk

Posted 7 months ago by Dylan Lovett

UCSF Neuro Nurses are teaming up to volunteer at the Aneurysm and AVM walk in San Francisco on May 6, 2018...

Our Bay Area Chapter secretary Lindsay Neville shares the following announcement:

Hello friends!

This year I'm teaming up with Neuro ICU nurse, Maggie Griffith, to recruit volunteers for the 13th Annual Aneurysm & AVM Awareness walk in SF on May 6th. A group of us volunteered last year and it was a super fun experience and really awesome to see many of our former patients doing well outside of the hospital. More importantly, it meant a lot to them and their families that we were there showing our support!

UCSF Medical Center is hosting the event this year and we need lots of volunteers! There is no mandatory time obligation but we will need a handful of people to come early (around 7am) to help set things up. Otherwise, the event lasts from 9am to 1pm and we'll need help with registration/check-in, passing out t-shirts and food, taking blood pressures at our tent, etc. Any and all help is much appreciated!

Event Details:

  • 9am: Check-in begins (East Beach picnic area)

  • 10am: Walk begins
  • 10:30am - 1pm: Celebration/Speeches (East Beach picnic and parking area)
